A native of Fort Worth TX, Andrew Fowler has been active as a trumpet player for over a decade. Showing promise from an early age, in high school Andrew was perennially selected as a performer in honor groups including All Region, All Area, and All State bands. In 2004 he was selected as the Texas Music Educators Association Outstanding Soloist at the Texas State Solo and Ensemble Contest. He recieved his Trumpet Performance Degree at Texas Christian University in the spring of 2009 under the instruction of Dr. Jon Burgess. He can be heard with many of the university ensembles including the TCU Jazz Ensemble, Wind Symphony, Basketball Band, Marching Band, Trumpet Ensemble, and is a founding member of the TCU Student Brass Quintet. In the summer of 2008 Andrew was split-lead trumpet in the Disney All American College Band Presented by Yamaha. As a performer he has played alongside such artists as Wayne Bergeron, Jon Faddis, Mike Vax, Rick Baptist, and Wynton Marsalis.
